European Union Sivil Düşün Programme’s Annual Forum took place on 2-3 May 2019 in Ankara, Turkey. The Forum brought together over 150 civil society representatives and activists across Turkey to engage in a variety of subjects regarding rights-based activities.
Through various panels, workshops and information sessions, the Forum provided a platform for participants and speakers to share information and experience in implementing rights-based activities. The panels brought together leading names in Turkish and European civil society under such topics as “The Future of Civil Society in Europe and Turkey”, “Civil Society in the Age of Digitalisation”, and “Changing Needs, New Solutions.”
Some of the titles of the workshops held in the Forum included “Online Violence”, “Creative Communication,” “Street Campaigning,” “Green Robots” and “Online Volunteering”. The Donor-CSO Meeting took place on both days and CSO representatives had the chance to directly interact with representatives from donor organisations.
In this Sivil Düşün Forum Booklet, you will find short biographies of panel speakers, what they have talked in the panels, brief information on the workshops and their respective facilitators. Sivil Düşün continues to provide an effective platform to civil society actors engaged in rights-based work, to learn from one another and to explore opportunities and strategies to collaborate on projects and activities within their respective communities.
